How does Pease CRC work?

Pease Christian Reformed Church is led by a group of people we call the Council. This group is made up of 9 Elders and 9 Deacons. These men and women are nominated by the members of our congregation, voted down to a group of three and then names are pulled out of a hat. This ensures that we allow God to be in control of the process from beginning to end. These council members serve 3 year terms. Below you will find the mission statements of both the Elders and the Deacons. We also have one Pastor, David Smit, a secretary, Anita Hubers, two ministry coordinators, Trudy Ash and Shelly Ash, and a custodian, Kay Goslinga. Further functions of the church are overseen by the various teams we have in place to coordinate different activities. You will also find a listing of these teams further down the page. Elders

Elders' Mission Statement     The mission of the Elders of the Christian Reformed Church of Pease is to inspire and encourage the members in their walk with God. We will be merciful and compassionate as we worship God with offerings of time and ability, we minister to people both from within and outside of the church. The work of the elders includes shepherding the church of Christ. Deacons

Deacon's Mission Statement     The mission of the deacons of The Christian Reformed Church of Pease is to inspire faithful stewardship in the members of the congregation. The deacons will be merciful and compassionate as they worship God with offerings of time, wealth and ability and minister to rich and poor alike, both within and outside the church. The work of the deacons includes collection and distribution of offerings. They must weigh the needs of causes and use the church's resources discerningly.
