My name is Pastor David Smit. I was born in Hospers, Iowa. I lived there until I decided to go to seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Calvin Theological Seminary.

My wife, Marian, and I have faithfully served four other churches across the country before following God’s call to Pease CRC in October of 2005. Since then we have enjoyed making ourselves at home here in Pease, Minnesota.

We have four children, two sons and two daughters, scattered across the country: Michigan, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and California.

We believe that God led us to serve and minister to this area. We strive to extend gracious hospitality to all who cross our path. We want to be an asset to the church, but also to our greater community. Stop by and say hi whenever you’d like. We’d love to answer any questions or just sit and chat for a while.
